Nürburgring 24 in iRacing
One of the most iconic iRacing special events is done and dusted. Sontek Racing esports team participated in GT4-class with a BMW. This car fitted us like a glove, as the team already used it in the DNLS-series and took the podium earlier in this season.
Our lineup for this race consisted of Alex Arana, Lassi Juurinen, Pietari Pokela and a visiting driver Jesse Hiiliaho. The performance was solid throughout the race, and we got our share of the trouble during the dark hours of the race. Jesse was clipped to a wall by a contender on the 992-class, but we were able to recover.
All and all the team drove with a robot-like precision and our standing was between P9-P7 majority of the race and we managed to finish at P5.
Max Verstappen pulled double-duty and put in many hours for his team. They won the GT3-class and Max also won the real life F1 race during the same weekend. Talking about dedication and love for the sport.
